Indongo Toyota Otjiwarongo has an opportunity for a Technical Manager.

The Technical Manager plays a crucial role to ensure the efficient and profitable operation of the Service Department. By establishing and adhering to Dealership and Group Standards.

Meet the objectives that cover the departments operating policies and standards and to achieve both high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and profitability.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Manage effective workshop planning and job allocation in conjunction with the foreman.
• Perform accurate diagnostics and to record future vehicle repairs and servicing requirements in detail.
• Lead and develop a highly efficient service team
• Establish technical staff requirements as per Indongo Automotive SOP.
• Conduct regular staff meetings, liase with DP, Parts Sales Manager and staff to drive best results.
• Meet set targets, expand and grow market share, dealership footprint and maximize profits.
• Achieve highest degree of customer satisfaction.
• Handle customer complaints in a professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Ensure all warranty repairs are conducted in line with TSAM guidelines.
• Control all sundries, minimize wastage of consumables and limit sublets.
• Conduct regular audits and report findings to DP- suggestions on corrective measures.
• Identify training needs for workshop staff and establish technical staff requirements as per Group standards.
• Drive labour sales and CE targets in the workshop.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

• Grade 12
• Computer literate (Microsoft Office, E-Toyota, Motodata will be advantageous)
• At least 4 years’ experience in this field, 3 years at management/ supervisor level
• Language proficiency in English, Afrikaans and other
• Auto franchise experience will be advantageous
• Valid driver’s license
